Good morning Goose Creek Farms Friends and Neighbors – please see this update from your volunteer Road Committee:

As Spring has past and we’re well into the Summer season, and if your property borders Goose Creek Lane, your support is needed to help keep Goose Creek Lane clear of brush and any overgrowth. While there is a 25-foot Loudoun County easement on either side of the center line of Goose Creek Lane, the committee only asks for our friends and neighbors to keep the roadway clear with a couple of additional feet on each side to aid visibility.

Excess brush and overgrowth is a safety hazard and prevents vehicles from passing each other safely – especially larger construction vehicles with trailers. Please do take the time to trim the branches and brush back away from the road for the safety of all traffic on Goose Creek Lane and as a courtesy to our friends and neighbors.

Unfortunately, the board doesn’t have extra funds to divert from road maintenance to help pay for landscaping on resident’s personal property, so your help is needed! The Road Committee is thankful for your support and wishes everyone a very happy and relaxing Summer Season!

Good morning everyone and Happy New Year from your Goose Creek Farms Road Committee. While there is a lot of information within, to include a summary of our 2023 expenditures, our plans for capital improvements to Goose Creek Lane, the most important detail is an fact-of-life increase to our annual dues to $550 / per residence / for 2024.

As always, your committee welcomes your input and comments. We wish you all the best in 2024 and thank you for your continued support to your all-volunteer Road Committee.

GCF Road Committee Update:
Good evening friends and neighbors! As mentioned two weeks ago, and updated last week, Goose Creek Lane will officially close starting at 9:00AM TUESDAY – Tomorrow.
This will be an ALL DAY closure, and will very likely include a partial closure on Wednesday also.
For all GCF residents living on Big Pine and Old Hickory, access to Lime Kiln will be via Grey Fox Lane.
For all GCF residents living on Fox Hollow – you may continue to access Goose Creek Lane as normal.
On behalf of your Goose Creek Farms road committee – we are grateful for your patience and support as we make this very critical fix to Goose Creek Lane.

GCF Road Committee Update: 12-hour GCL Road Closure – Postponed

The start date for the road work will be pushed to next week due to a slight delay in the contractor’s availability due to inclement weather experienced during the previous project. We should start and finish during the work week next week. We apologize for any inconvenience but are confident the delay will be well worth it.

GCF Road Committee Update: Upcoming 12-hour GCL Road Closure – Week of 18 September.
Greetings to everyone from your volunteer road committee! We hope everyone had a great summer season this year!
In preparation for planned drain pipe excavation and replacement and grading near the Red Barn in the next two weeks, your road committee wanted to inform everyone today of this pending work.
At this time, no firm date has been set, however, the committee will announce the date as early as possible once it is confirmed. For everyone’s awareness, work will commence at 9:00am on the scheduled project date. Volunteers will be directing traffic down Grey Fox Lane as a temporary construction detour until all road work is complete.
Please note that this project is the committee’s major Capital Improvement to Goose Creek Lane for 2023 and everyone on your volunteer committee is grateful for your support and donations.

REMINDER – NEIGHBORHOOD ROAD COMMITTEE MEETING & SOCIAL.
Happy Saturday friends and neighbors! On behalf of your Goose Creek Lane Road committee, we look forward to seeing everyone tomorrow, Sunday afternoon, May 7th at The Muller’s (38826 Goose Creek Lane) at 5:00pm for our 2023 Annual Road Committee Meeting. We’ll be meeting outside on the back patio.
We think we’ll have enough seating for everyone – but feel free to bring a folding chair if desired. Your committee’s intent is to keep the meeting short (1 hour or less) followed by a neighborhood social.
Feel free to bring a beverage of your choice for yourself or to share. We’ll also have a mix of soda’s, lemonade and iced tea for everyone! See you there!

Unfortunately, due to tomorrow’s weather forecast, your volunteer Goose Creek Farms Road Committee has decided to postpone our neighborhood meeting until Sunday May 7th at 5:00pm. Thanks for your understanding and we wish you all a safe and pleasant weekend!

Greetings Goose Creek Farms residents and friends. Your road committee is pleased to provide to you this annual update of the committee’s actions and our gratitude for your generous support in 2022. For 2023, the committee has decided to leave dues at $500.00 annually for each Goose Creek Farms residence. As inflation in 2022 has increased costs in 2023, the committee would be very grateful of any additional contribution of $100, $200, $500 or more toward long term capital improvements to Goose Creek Lane.
